So...how is everyone doing on their shiny new Graduate Traineeships and Masters courses?

Hi, new to the community, and guess I'm on a shiny new graduate traineeship! I've moved down to Essex to take part in the scheme - quite strange to be in a new place without my other half, but I'm hoping to get on a more local course next year (I'm based in Nottingham usually).

The traineeship is interesting, although we're doing a lot of cataloguing - good in some ways, as I know a lot of trainees miss out on that side of things, but I do like customer-based work better.

downhomekitty- welcome!

cataloguing sounds like a very good thing to learn as a trainee.

I'll be doing it for the first time in my MA course which is a tad scary. Its only a few hours worth of work, its totally optional and doesn't count to my final credits. Seems like they're downplaying a pretty useful skill to me but what then again what the hell do I know?

best of luck with the traineeship!
